Belarus ships 16t of Kobrin ice cream to China in May-June 2026

Sixteen tonnes of Kobrin ice cream were shipped to China in May-June 2026, Yelena Oliyarnik, a specialist in the foreign economic activity department of the Kobrin Butter and Cheese Plant, told Belarus 1 TV channel, BelTA has learned.

Yelena Oliyarnik noted that the Chinese have developed a taste for Belarusian natural creamy ice cream. “They enjoy exotic flavors, but nonetheless, they have really taken to our natural creamy ice cream. They liked the natural inclusions such as currants and cranberries. Our marshmallow ice cream is also very popular. In May and June 2026, we shipped 16 tonnes of ice cream to China,” she said.

The plant produces over 50 varieties of ice cream. The producers are ready to adapt to the taste preferences of foreign customers.

Grigory Dikovitsky, head of the commercial department at the plant, noted that it was ice cream that brought the plant into the Chinese market in 2023. “Today, we ship both hardened and soft ice cream there. In addition, we work actively with Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kazakhstan on ice cream exports. But our main market is Russia, accounting for over 80% of exports. We have covered all its regions. We have distributor and dealer representatives in every region. Last year, exports reached $126 million. This year, in the first half of the year, we are ahead of schedule - exports are over 120%,” he said.
