Belarus taking part in InterFood Astana expo in Kazakhstan

MINSK, 29 May (BelTA) – Belarusian food manufacturers are taking part in the international exhibition of foodstuffs, drinks, ingredients, packaging and equipment for food industry InterFood Astana in Kazakhstan, BelTA learned from the Belinterexpo exhibition enterprise of the Belarusian Chamber of Commerce and Industry  (BelCCI).

“Belarusian companies are widely known in Kazakhstan. In the late January - July 2023, the trade between Belarus and Kazakhstan amounted to $683 million. Meat and meat products, dairy products, sugar and chocolate made up the bulk of Belarus' food exports,” Belinterexpo said.

The Belarus. The Taste of Nature exposition features a wide range of products of Belarusian meat and dairy companies, including Slutsk Cheese Factory and Slonim Meat Processing Plant.

The business program of the exhibition includes a session on the export and import of food products with the participation of the Ministry of Trade and Integration of Kazakhstan. Representatives of the Belarusian delegation were invited to a number of thematic dialogue platforms that will bring together representatives of the business community of Kazakhstan and other countries.

On 29-31 May, food industry leaders from 15 countries will be showcasing products and services. More than 80 food manufacturers and brands will be featured. The honorary region of the expo is the European Union. Its delegation includes 30 manufacturers from the EU member states.
