Belarusian Constitutional Court judge Svetlana Lyubetskaya sworn into office

Chairman of the Belarusian People's Congress, Belarusian President Aleksandr Lukashenko swore in Judge of the Constitutional Court of Belarus Svetlana Lyubetskaya.
Svetlana Lyubetskaya was appointed a judge of the Constitutional Court by the decree of the president of Belarus of 23 April 2024. In a solemn atmosphere she pronounced the oath, having undertaken the obligation to honestly, conscientiously and impartially defend the constitutional system and the supremacy of the Constitution of the Republic of Belarus.
After taking the oath of office, Aleksandr Lukashenko presented her with a certificate of a judge of the Constitutional Court, a gift copy of the Constitution of Belarus and a bouquet of flowers. Attending the ceremony also were chairpersons of the House of Representatives and the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly, the Supreme and Constitutional Courts.
During the ceremony, the head of state said that he plans to meet with all members of the Constitutional Court in the near future to discuss the subsequent work in accordance with the updated Constitution. “The duties, rights and powers of the Constitutional Court have been expanded, This is what the Constitutional Court has been striving for,” Aleksandr Lukashenko said.
The Belarusian leader wished Svetlana Lyubetskaya success in her work as a judge of the Constitutional Court.
